Preventing Scheduling Conflicts - Part 4
Welcome to part 4 of our multi-event/series blog series!
One of the biggest challenges in managing multiple registration options is preventing scheduling conflicts between events.
eventplus allows you to define races or sessions that cannot be chosen together, preventing participants from selecting overlapping events and saving event administrators from dealing with conflicts.
This conflict prevention feature ensures that participants can’t accidentally enter events they can’t actually participate in.
Example 1: Golden Bay Festival
Imagine the Golden Bay Festival has two events scheduled at the same time:
- 60km MTB @ 10am
- 12km MTB @ 10:30am
With eventplus, participants will be unable to select both events, ensuring they only register for events they can attend.
This feature helps maintain a smooth and efficient registration process, avoiding confusion and disappointment for participants and reducing administrative burdens.
This feature can be integrated with the muli-selection functions we have been discussing in previous blogs.
Example 2: Yoga Conference
Morning Sessions:
- How to teach yoga to beginners @ 10am
- How to teach more advanced yoga @ 10am
Afternoon Sessions:
- Reasons for practicing yoga daily @ 1pm
- Reasons for using props in yoga practice @ 1pm
Lynn can choose only one of the morning sessions and one of the afternoon sessions.
Stay tuned for our next blog post, where we will continue exploring how eventplus can simplify and enhance your event management.
